Course Description

This course is designed to provide you with meaningful and practical learning experiences that will prepare you for student teaching and to construct a vision of yourself as a teacher of secondary science. In this course, while some of the topics that were addressed in Methods I and II will be revisited in a more depth, new topics related to planning, teaching, and assessment in the secondary science classroom will be introduced. The course is organized around three major themes: (1) engaging students in active learning in science, (2) teaching science for all students, and (3) continuing to learn to teach from your own teaching.
