Course Description

Required course for certification in elementary education. This course explores the methodologies in teaching social studies topics with students, pre-K through grade 6. Projects include writing an original social studies lesson plans, developing a grade level social studies unit and experiencing the benefits of community service, in addition to discussion of relevant literature and participating in "hands-on" activities.
