Course Description

This course is designed for graduate students in The University of Iowa College of Education (UI COE) Educational Administration (EDAD) program, working toward the PK-12 principal and PK-12 supervisor of special education license issued by the State of Iowa Board of Educational Examiners. Particular emphasis will be given to the Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium Standards for School Leaders (ISLLC) and Iowa’s Standards for School Leaders (ISSL).

Aspiring school administrators will learn to use a variety of digital tools, internet resources and other forms of technology to collect and organize their standards-based performances. Projects within the course will provide a user-friendly means for students, their mentors and program faculty to gauge student progress toward meeting Iowa’s PK-12 principal and PK-12 supervisor of special education professional licensure requirements.
