Program Guides for Elementary Education

Select from the links below for course requirements of the state approved teacher licensure and endorsement programs offered by The University of Iowa College of Education. These lists can be used to guide you through your program once admitted and will be required to accompany the licensure application when you have completed your program.

Initial licensure is obtained through a program outlined as a Teacher Education Program. Elementary Education as an undergraduate major requires a 24 s.h. area of specialization (added endorsement). All students admitted March 2011 or later will be required to complete the College of Education Teacher Leader Certificate Program requirements.  Completion of the Teacher Leader Certificate requirements does not lead to an endorsement on your teaching license.

Note: You will need to download Adobe Reader to access these lists.
