Academics Core classes are taught by REACH instructors who are trained to meet unique learning needs. These courses include small-group instruction, hands-on learning, and real-world opportunities. Classes follow The University of Iowa academic calendar. REACH students also partcipate in some University courses. Traditional students attend various REACH core courses, providing different inclusive academic learning for all students. The person-centered planning approach is used by advisors to develop goals and monitor progress. Students receive academic enrichment and support through an academic success class, small group study sessions, and personal advising. Each student's progress, preferences, and goals are monitored. Grades are given in each class. Passing grades and effort toward achieving goals are part of the graduation requirements. Student Schedule
The class schedule, courses, and career expereinces change each semester for students. See a sample schedule for year 1 students. |
