The potential audience for students in the student affairs administration concentration includes individuals interested in senior-level positions in student affairs administration in postsecondary institutions (e.g., department heads, deans, vice presidents) or faculty/research positions that focus on research on college students and/or student affairs practice. Prospective students are likely to have masters degrees in student affairs, college student personnel, higher education administration or related fields, and – typically – 3 to 7 years of experience (post-masters) in student affairs work. The degree also could be attractive to persons who are interested in institutional research as it relates to student experiences and student learning outcomes.

- 07C:432 PhD Seminar: Reflective Practice in Student Affairs Administration
- 07C:433 PhD Seminar: Current Issues in Student Affairs Administration
And one of the following:
- 07C:332 Psychosocial and Identity Development of College Students
- 07C:334 College Student Learning, Cognitive and Moral Development
- 07C:337 Theoretical Perspectives on Student Affairs Administration
- 07C:336 Impact of College on Students (Prerequisites: 07B:206 or equivalent or consent of instructor)
