Duane D. Anderson Memorial Scholarship

This award is presented to a transfer student from an Iowa community college who is enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in the College of Education.

Jack Bagford Elementary Education Award

This award is presented to an undergraduate or graduate student who will be teaching in elementary education.

David and Connie Belin Honors Award

This award is presented to graduating seniors in the Teacher Education Program who have completed all requirements for the Honors Opportunity Program.

Debra Clausen Memorial Fellowship

This award is presented to an undergraduate or graduate student in the College of Education who will work at the Center for Disabilities and Development to evaluate and develop learning programs for students with mental disabilities, including Down Syndrome.

Dr. Mary Agnella Gunn Memorial Scholarship

This award is presented to an undergraduate student who will be student teaching in the area of English education.

Gladys & Margaret Harvey Education Scholarship

This award is presented to a post-bachelor’s, M.A.T., or M.A. student working towards teacher licensure in elementary or secondary education who will be student teaching for a full semester.

Kyle and Eula Jones Student Teaching Scholarships

This award is presented to an undergraduate student who will student teach for a full semester in elementary or secondary education.

Charlotte and Ruby Junge Scholarship

This award is presented to an undergraduate student who will be student teaching for a full semester in the area of social studies or elementary education.

Loetscher Science Education Scholarship

This award is presented to an undergraduate student in secondary science education.

Sheila E. McFarland Memorial Scholarship

This award is presented to an undergraduate student who will be student teaching for a full semester in the area of elementary education with preference given to an Iowa resident.

Minority Student Scholarship

This award is presented to an outstanding undergraduate or graduate minority student in any program in the College of Education who is active in working with equity issues in the College and has contributed in a positive manner to the life of the College.

Guy and Gladys Peterson Award

This award is presented to an undergraduate student in the College of Education who has been admitted to and completed at least 12 s.h. of coursework in the teacher education program.

Pi Lambda Theta Senior and Graduate Student Awards

The Pi Lambda Theta Awards are presented annually by Theta Chapter at UI to outstanding doctoral, master’s, and bachelor’s students.

Betty Piercy Award

This award is presented to an outstanding student in reading who will benefit the field in some direct way.

John E. Quinn Memorial Scholarship

This award is presented to a full-time undergraduate student from eastern Iowa in Liberal Arts who has been admitted to the teacher education program and is pursuing secondary school teaching licensure in the area of history.

Margaret A. Sloan Scholarship

This award is presented to an undergraduate or graduate student who will be student teaching for a full semester in elementary education with preference given to an Iowa resident.

Lloyd Smith Scholarship

This award is presented to an outstanding student in the area of elementary social studies.

U-High Innovative Developments in Education Award

This award is presented to undergraduate or graduate students who completed their secondary student teaching in Fall 2006 or Spring 2007.

Erwin & Louise Wasta International Scholarship

This award is presented to a full time international student in an undergraduate or graduate program in the College of Education.
