RAY DISSERTATION FELLOWSHIP
Description
This award provides support for a doctoral student in the
Department of Teaching and Learning in the final semesters
of his or her program; that is, in the data gathering and
writing phases of the dissertation.
Award
Amount varies. The amount of the work-free fellowship is the
equivalent of a half-time graduate assistantship plus benefits
for one semester plus one month in the summer.
Eligibility
Doctoral students in the Department of Teaching and Learning
with an approved prospectus whose dissertation deals with
the measurement of educational objects in any one of four
areas: science education, mathematics education, social studies
education, or language and literacy education.

How to Apply
Nomination by a faculty member is required. Submit a
detailed letter of nomination that summarizes the qualifications
of the nominee and a copy of the approved prospectus by the
deadline to:
