Duane D. Anderson Memorial Scholarship

This award is presented to a transfer student from an Iowa community college who is enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in the College of Education.

Blommers-Hieronymus-Feldt Fellowship

This award is presented to an doctoral student in the field of educational measurement and statistics who has completed one full year in the program.

Barry Bratton Award for Achievement in Design of Instructional Processes

This award is presented to a graduate student in any program in the College of Education who has completed some coursework that reflects a commitment to the systematic design and improvement of instructional processes and materials.

T. Anne Cleary Psychological Research Scholarship

This award is presented to students engaged in research bearing on the psychological or quantitative foundations of education. Two awards are presented, one to a U.S. citizen and one to an international student.

John Leonard Davies Memorial Award

This award is presented to an outstanding graduate student in the College of Education whose area of specialization is continuing education.

Harvey H. Davis Award

This award is presented to a graduate student in educational administration with preference given to nominees interested in the financing of education.

Terry Ganshaw Memorial Award

This award is presented to an outstanding Ph.D. student in the field of College Student Personnel.

Gladys & Margaret Harvey Education Scholarship

This award is presented to a post-bachelor’s, M.A.T., or M.A. student working towards teacher licensure in elementary or secondary education who will be student teaching for a full semester.

Albert Hood Promising Scholar Award

This award is presented to a doctoral student in the Department of Counseling, Rehabilitation and Student Development with an approved prospectus.

Emma Bauman Holmes Education Scholarship

This award is presented to an undergraduate or graduate student in any program in the College of Education who is a U.S. Citizen.

Howard R. Jones Achievement Award

This award is presented to a graduate student in any program in the College of Education who has made a noteworthy scholarly presentation at a national professional conference or who has published a scholarly article in a reputable journal or other major publication.

Kyle & Eula Jones Scholarship in Educational Administration

This award is presented to teachers with four years of classroom teaching experience, or current and incoming graduate students, who are working toward licensure as an elementary or secondary school administrator.

Perry Eugene McClenahan Award

This award, based on scholarship, leadership and character, is presented to an outstanding graduate student in educational administration.

Leonard A. Miller Memorial Scholarship

This award is presented to an outstanding first-year M.A. student in rehabilitation counseling.

Minority Student Award

This award is presented to an outstanding undergraduate or graduate minority student in any program in the College of Education who is active in working with equity issues in the College and has contributed in a positive manner to the life of the College.

Melvin R. Novick Award in Educational Measurement and Statistics

This award is presented to a third or fourth year doctoral student in the educational measurement and statistics program who has at least one year of study remaining.

Paul Opstad Award

This award is presented to a graduate student in any program in the College of Education whose career or scholarly interests focus on the concerns and needs of international students.

Margaret A. Sloan Scholarship

This award is presented to an undergraduate or graduate student who will be student teaching for a full semester in elementary education with preference given to an Iowa resident.

Lloyd Smith Scholarship

This award is presented to an outstanding student in the area of elementary social studies.

Franklin D. Stone International Student Award

This award is presented to an international student in any program pursuing a Ph.D. in the College of Education.

James and Coretta Stroud Fellowship

This award is presented to an outstanding doctoral student in the Department of Psychological and Quantitative Foundations who is entering the dissertation phase of their program.

Edgar M. and Evelyn Benzler Tanruther Scholarship

This award is presented to an outstanding graduate student in the area of elementary education.

U-High Innovative Developments in Education Award

This award is presented to undergraduate or graduate students who completed their secondary student teaching in Fall 2009 or Spring 2010.

Erwin and Louise Wasta International Scholarship

This award is presented to a full time international student in an undergraduate or graduate program in the College of Education.
