LEONARD A. MILLER SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
The Miller Award was established to honor the example and
memory of Dr. Leonard A. Miller, who had served on the rehabilitation
counseling education faculty for 15 years at the time of his
death in 1981. He was known as a fine scholar, an inspiring
teacher, and an excellent counselor. He was an exceptional
humanitarian who always had time for people, whether they
were persons in trouble, or people who just wanted to talk
and interact. He gave generously of his love and resources.
Professionally, he was frequently the person who saw the issues
most clearly and offered the best suggestions for dealing
with the problems at hand.
This award acknowledges students who demonstrate the potential
to develop into the type of professional that Dr. Miller would
admire. |
