What is an ePortfolio™?

The ePortfolio™ framework provides a design for evaluation based on the College of Education, State of Iowa and national standards.

When you enter the College of Education you are given Web space for the collection and storage of materials from your courses and field experiences. The College uses these student Web sites to verify that our academic programs meet state and national standards. It is crucial that all students keep their Web sites current and follow College of Education guidelines when designing their Web space. Faculty in our will guide you on what projects need to be related to particular standards.

When you are ready to begin the process of job seeking, fine tune items in your Digital BackPack and use your Web site as a portfolio to help you find a job. See ePortfolio™ as a job-seeking tool for how to use your ePortfolio™ for job seeking.

After graduation your Web space will be active for at least two years so you can use Digital BackPack and Electronic Portfolio materials in your new professional position or for further assessment.
