  • Celebrate Diversity: Drum Drum Pays Second Visit to JSA
  • Vision Brochure: Guess What I Learned Today
Artifact Note: Working as a collaborative time (staff, students, families, community partners) we articulated our vision and mission in print form. This process helped all stakeholders to support and follow our goal to teach the whole child.
  • Balanced Classrooms
  • Opening Doors to Discovery Showcase: English | Spanish
Artifact Note: In collaboration with JSA business, community and volunteer partners, a theme highlighting JSAs vision and mission was developed and promoted through a showcase of activities. I asked a parent volunteer to prepare the flyer in Korean so that our newly enrolled families would feel included in the activities.
  • SINA Parent Letter
Artifact Note: We had many discussions about our being labeled as a school in need of assistance. I used meetings and forums to stress how we could use this designation to help us move forward and to reach our goals.
  • School-wide Discipline Plan | Cycles of Behaviors
Artifact Note: To ensure that all concerned parties are aware of the JSA behavior policies, the schoolwide discipline plan is available in all classrooms, discussed in school meetings and forums, and revisited on regular occasions for input and revision.
  • NAESP conference attendance
Artifact Note: I submitted a professional development application to attend the national conference in New York City. The focus of the conference was on community relations and administrative integrity.
