Dr. Harold L. Schoen is Professor Emeritus of Mathematics and Education at The University of Iowa. He received his doctorate from Ohio State University in 1971.

Dr. Schoen's professional career focused on teaching mathematics, the mathematics curriculum, and mathematics teacher education primarily at the secondary school and beginning college levels. He authored over 80 scholarly publications as well as 15 textbooks and numerous technical reports. He also served in several key leadership positions in state and national mathematics education professional organizations.

Dr. Schoen is enjoying traveling and spending time with his family including five grandchildren in his retirement.
