The Doctor of Philosphy in Student Affairs Administration and Research (SAAR) provides an in-depth preparation for leadership positions in student affairs administration, graduate student affairs preparation programs, and research on college students and student affairs practice. The SAAR program is specifically intended for those interested in student affairs administration and college student research.

The Ph.D. is offered jointly by the Department of Counseling, Rehabilitation and Student Development (CRSD) and the Department of Educational Policy and Leadership Studies (EPLS).
