Master of Arts without Thesis

Minimum total semester hours required: 32 s.h.

(Requirements for M.A. Program effective February 1, 1990)

Purpose of Program: To prepare individuals for entry- and middle-level administrative, instructional management, continuing education, and policy positions in two- and four-year institutions. Appropriate for positions such as assistant dean, assistant to the president, director, in-service director, and department or program chairperson in selected areas.

Admissions Requirements: Applicants for admission must satisfy the requirements of the Graduate College. Candidates will be selected on the basis of grade-point average, Graduate Record Examination scores, and promise for professional growth. Transcripts, the GRE Test scores, three letters of recommendation, and a statement of career goals are required for regular admission. Application materials are reviewed by program faculty when complete.
