Student Advisory CommitteeThe Student Advisory Committee was organized as a method to allow students to provide input into the program. Another purpose is to provide current and prospective students information from other current students. Currently the advisory committee is an informal body that meets monthly to provide input, discuss student needs, discuss potential monthly seminars, and other topics of interest. The meetings are open to all students and faculty in the Educational Measurement and Statistics Program. There are no elected positions and all students are strongly encouraged to participate. The web site is new and we are currently developing content for it. We are currently seeking input as to the types of content students would find useful on this web site. We plan to add the following information: 1) List of courses and when they are typically offered 2) Information for prospective students 3) Links to local apartments and other living arrangements 4) Information on comprehensive exam procedures Anyone who has ideas can contact Joann Moore or Scott Wood by email or visiting 200 LC. |
