Admission
Applications
for admission are reviewed twice each year, in mid-January
for applicants seeking financial support and again in mid-June.
Applicants should have at least two years of experience teaching
foreign language or ESL and should hold a master's degree
or have completed a significant amount of graduate course
work in a foreign language or foreign language education.
Application materials should include a statement of purpose
explaining the applicant's professional goals, transcripts
of all undergraduate and graduate work, Graduate Record Exam
scores, a sample of academic writing, and three letters of
recommendation. Applicants must have a grad-point average
of at least 3.00 in graduate course work. International applicants
must score at least 250 on the computer-based TOEFL (or 600
on the paper-based TOEFL).
