FAC Meeting Minutes

March 11, 2004
Attending: Joyce Moore, Rahima Wade, Scott McNabb, Nancy Jackson, Micheline Chalhoub-Deville, David Jepsen, Ellie Herman.

1. Minutes from last meeting were approved with minor adjustments.
2. Prof. Anne DiPardo, Prof. Norbert Pienta and Evalyn Van Allen-Shalash representing the Committee to review Dean Sandra Damico met with the FAC to gather our individual perspectives on the Dean's performance with respect to the FAC.
3. Micheline reported on her conversations with the Dean about FAC activities. The FAC was given a choice of functions to serve in response to the COE Review report. The FAC chose to receive and react to a draft of the Review report.
4. Peter Hlebowitsh will report to the FAC at our next meeting about the progress of the Curriculum Task Force.
5. The Program Coordinator's resolution will be disseminated on the COE list serve after sending it to Dean Damico. Micheline will read the resolution during her end-of-the-year report to the COE faculty at the spring meeting.
6. The COE "unique characteristics" assignment was discussed and Rahima will circulate her outline to the FAC and wil will discuss further at the next meeting.
   

Next meeting is April 8 at 10-11:30 am in N461 LC.
