Teacher
Education Convocation
At
the conclusion of the fall and spring semesters, the College
holds a special convocation specifically for students who
have completed their student teaching semester and are qualified
to apply for teacher licensure. For more information, or

Alumni Reception at the Annual AERA/NCME Meeting
Each year the College hosts a reception for alumni and friends at the annual meeting of the American Education Research Association and the National Council on Measurement in Education.

Dean's
Honor Clubs Reception
Every
two years, the dean thanks special friends of the College
who support the College at an annual level of $1,000 or
more.
Last
year, the dean hosted the Honor Clubs reception at the Levitt
Center for University Advancement and provided tickets
to the Aretha Franklin "Queen of Soul" performance at Hancher
Auditorium.

Legislative
Breakfast
Each spring the
College hosts a legislative breakfast at the State Capitol
in Des Moines highlighting College of Education students,
innovative projects, and alumni. The legislators appreciate
the opportunity to connect with College of Education faculty
and students, and make meaningful links toward understanding
the College of Education's impact throughout Iowa.
