Communication/Invitations
-
Students are notified of the event
and recruited by the Student
Committee
Chairman for various committee positions at Student
Teaching Orientation prior to the start of the semester.
-
A postcard invitation is sent to parents early
in the semester to inform them of the date, the registration procedure for students, and how guest tickets are distributed.
- Students are sent an e-mail reminding them to respond online.
-
After the RSVP deadline, students are
mailed their tickets along with an informational card
on attire, arrival times, seating arrangements, and
program details.
-
Tickets are free of charge, but due
to the limited seating capacity of the venues, ticket
availability is limited. Every guest must have
a ticket to enter the event. Participating
students do not need a ticket.

• Students are guaranteed to receive 4 guest tickets.
When responding online, students are encouraged to ask
for as many tickets as they would like. Once the RSVP
deadline has passed, and the number
of participating students has been determined, extra
tickets will be disbursed and great effort is made to
accommodate all requests. However, it is
highly unlikely any student will be allowed more than 8
tickets.
-
Doors open 25 minutes before the
start of the event. Students should plan to arrive
at least 20 minutes before the event begins in order
to find their seat.
-
Participating students are assigned
a seat at this event. Students are seated together, by program.
Elementary Education students are seated together
in alphabetical order. Secondary Education students
are grouped by program (i.e. Art Education, English
Education, et. al), also in alphabetical order.
-
This is not a cap and gown ceremony.
While this ceremony is not a formal event, please wear
attire that would be appropriate for an interview or
cocktail party. Please no jeans, shorts, or athletic
shoes.
