Teaching Assistant, Department of Curriculum and Instruction, August 2000-present, The University of Iowa
Instructed elementary education majors in "Methods of Teaching Reading and Language Arts" and "Reading and Responding to Children's Literature." Co-taught graduate class in "Intermediate Reading Methods." Duties included course instruction, student advising and assessment, and course evaluation. All of the above courses used a variety of teaching and assessment techniques including extensive use of WebCT, DreamWeaver, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word and included close work with College of Education faculty members and technology specialists to develop instructional materials.
