| Welcome to the Educational Leadership Program! Because Leadership Matters Faculty, students, and staff invite you to join us in pursuing an advanced degree or licensure as a school leader at The University of Iowa. The Educational Leadership Program offers degrees and licensure for pre-K-12 school leadership. Three graduate degrees are available in five different programs: Master of Arts (M.A.), Education Specialist (Ed.S.), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)in educational leadership. We also provide four different licensure/endorsement-only programs for PK-12 principals, superintendents, and special education administrators. We welcome students from other disciplines who are interested in pursuing administrative licensure or would like to enroll in our courses as electives. The University of Iowa's Educational Leadership programs are designed for working professionals. Most of our students are practicing teachers and administrators pursuing advanced degrees, licenses, and endorsements. The majority of classes are offered in the evenings during the regular academic year so students can complete their degrees and licensure while working. Additionally, many classes are offered via interactive distance education using Adobe Connect. The educational leadership program is committed to preparing educators to be effective school leaders, professors, and policymakers. For more information regarding our courses of study, admission requirements, or current faculty and graduate students, please browse our website and feel free to contact us with any questions.
