Agenda

1. New Business! Discuss whether or not to change the bylaws to read 8 rather than 9 members.
2. Old Business. Second and final reading of the bylaws!
3. Old Business. Start planning: web site, brochure; start working out a schedule, responsibilities, logistics for events we want to host. So far, these include explicitly a) bring in HR to discuss job categories, advancement, compensation, etc; and b) having a friendly question and answer session with the College of Education IT people. Other events that we’ve batted around without formalizing are a brownbag lunch/open session with the dean, the fall breakfast meeting above and, possibly, working together with the Social Committee to have different people with similar functions get together.
4. Old Business. Use of list-serve. We might want to see if we could get the minutes of the Iowa City Community School Board, because they have been discussing issues related to what the board needs to make public and what not. Also want to ask the UI legal Counsel its advice on this matter.
5. Report on the meeting of the Administrative Council meeting of May 11th.
6. BRING YOUR CALENDARS so that we can plan our next few meetings!
