Reference Listing

List the name and title of each person (e.g., employer, professor, cooperating teacher, supervisor) you ask to submit a letter of recommendation. If you already have a file, list the names of all references you want to retain and new names you wish to add. For a list of references currently in your file, please send a request for that information to ed-placement@uiowa.edu. Be sure to include the last 5 digits of your Social Security Number and your current e-mail address.

References

Employers typically request three or more references. The maximum number of references is 10. You may instruct the EPO to hold your request until specific references are received. It is your responsibility to ensure that references are submitted to this office.

Release Information

Employers may request names, contact information, and/or placement files of applicants for specific openings. Choose one of the statements below authorizing or restricting the release of such information.

Fees

The fee for placement service is $25.00. This fee includes registration, the first 6 sets of credentials submitted to prospective employers, and access to job opportunities reported to the Educational Placement Office. Upon receipt of a credential request beyond the initial 6 requests, a fee of $5.00 will be assessed thereafter.

You will be billed for these fees by The University of Iowa Central Billing Office. Please do not submit any payments to the EPO.
