My basic beliefs have been shaped by many factors including my academic coursework and specialized training at The University of Iowa, several university mentors, teachers in my practicum settings, and in various related experiences with young children.

My professional goals include developing a wide array of teaching strategies that are effective with all learners; using global networks and computer assisted instruction to help my students learn faster and easier; finding multiple ways to include parents in the learning process; and using my Spanish speaking skills to contribute to the community.
