Dear Parents,

Hello! My name is Ima Sample. I will be student teaching in Mrs. Goode's class for the spring semester.

It doesn't seem like that long ago that I was in second grade in my hometown of Anytown, USA, a suburb outside of Metro. I had many wonderful elementary school teachers who inspired me to want to become a teacher. So, here I am ready to begin teaching in your child's class.

I am currently a student at the University of Iowa. This May I will graduate with a major in elementary education and a minor in Spanish. I have also been working on a specialization in special education. I am very happy to be student teaching in New Town. Last Fall I began tutoring in New Town as a part of the Adult Tutoring Program. I feel as though I have already gotten to know some people in the community.

I'm anxious to begin working with Mrs. Goode and her students. I visited in December and spent some time getting to know the students. All the children seem to enjoy being in Mrs. Goode's classroom. Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have. I look forward to meeting you.
