My Mentor

Professors in my program are very accessible to the students. Having mentors close at hand makes the learning process more enjoyable. In a class called Language & Learning, Professor Marshall communicated with the students through the use of audio tapes. We would turn in our papers and he would evaluate our papers via audio tape. Here is his response to my semester work.

Dr. James Marshall

Professor of English and English Education, University of Iowa

"Your work all semester has been first rate. Smart, reasoned, grounded in the readings and in common sense. You've been articulate, insightful, and intellectually generous -- all the good things. In my view you're going to be an exceptional teacher."
