Comprehensive services are offered to employers seeking University of Iowa graduates for positions in teaching, administration, research, and related positions. Job Fairs
On-Campus Interviews
Web/Phone Interviews

The Educational Placement Office hosts job fairs for teachers, administrators and school support staff. University of Iowa students attend the fairs to meet recruiters from all parts of the country. The fairs are hosted in the Old Capitol Town Center, downtown Iowa City.

Students complete degree programs in December, May, and July but interviews may be scheduled at any time during the year. Flexible times for interview schedules are available including late afternoon and evening hours. The on- campus interview services include:

  • Interview suites with laptop;
  • Refreshments and lunch;
  • Advertising before the event;
  • Full access to office services;

Candidates and recruiters alike may find themselves in a position where a phone or web-based interview may be a more efficient way to connect. The Educational Placement Office has experience in helping recruiters connect with students - both undergraduate and graduate - for web-based interviews using various formats - webinar, Second Life, Polycom, and Skype.
