Distance Education
Since 1847, The University of Iowa has had a long tradition of excellence in education. The College of Education and Distance Education at Iowa continue this tradition by delivering accessible, quality education to your desktop. Bringing the best and brightest faculty together with a quality student body makes for an engaging learning environment, whether you are online or on campus. At Iowa, education neither starts nor stops at the classroom door. All four of the College of Education’s departments—Counseling, Rehabilitation, and Student Development; Educational Policy and Leadership Studies; Psychological and Quantitative Foundations; and Teaching and Learning—offer a number of distance education courses that are available to both admitted and non-admitted students. All distance education courses award college credit and appear on the University transcript. U.S. News and World Report 2008 ranks The University of Iowa as one of the nation’s top public universities. It ranks the College of Education and a wide range of its specialty programs among the nation’s top 20 granting graduate degrees. Consider the educational opportunities at Iowa and we think you’ll agree—there’s no better place to find such quality, value, and accessibility. We invite you to join us to complete or continue your education at the place where innovation and tradition meet.
