    Awarded to transfer students from Iowa community colleges and established through gifts given in memory of Dr. Anderson.
  • Jack Bagford Elementary Education Scholarship

    Awarded to undergraduate or graduate students from Iowa in elementary education and established by W. Christine Rauscher (MA '72/PhD '78) in honor of Dr. Bagford.
  • David and Connie Belin Honors Award

    Awarded to graduating seniors who have completed all requirements for the Honors Opportunity Program and established through gifts given in honor of David and Connie Belin.
  • Blommers-Hieronymus-Feldt Fellowship

    Awarded to doctoral students in educational measurement and statistics and established through gifts given in honor of Professors Blommers, Hieronymus and Feldt.
  • Lowell Brandt Rehabilitation Counseling Award

    Awarded to graduate students in the Rehabilitation Counseling Program and established through gifts given in memory of Lowell Brandt (BA '72/MA '79).
  • Barry Bratton Memorial Award

    Awarded to graduate students who have completed coursework that reflects a commitment to the systematic design and improvement of instructional processes and material and established by Marlys Dunphy (MA '79/EdS '87) in memory of Dr. Bratton.
  • Dr. Bettye M. Caldwell and Dr. Fred T. Caldwell Scholarship

    Awarded to undergraduate students interested in pursuing careers in early childhood development and established by Dr. Bettye M. Caldwell (MA '46) and Dr. Fred T. Caldwell Jr., M.D.
  • Jake and Kimberly Chung Scholarship

    Awarded to students in Educational Leadership and established by Jhoon Jake Chung (BA ’96) and Kimberly Dierks Chung (BA ’98).
  • Debra Clausen Memorial Scholarship

    Awarded to undergraduate or graduate students with preference given to students pursuing careers in special education and established by J. Christian and Geraldine K. Clausen in memory of their daughter, Debra.
  • T. Anne Cleary Psychological Research Scholarship

    Awarded to students in the Department of Psychological and Quantitative Foundations and established in memory of T. Anne Cleary by her brothers Frank, Michael and Paul.
  • John Leonard Davies Scholarship

    Awarded to K-12 education students who will be first or second semester seniors and established by Elva Davies (MA '72) in memory of her husband, Dr. Davies (MA '43/PhD '49).
  • Harvey H. Davis Memorial Scholarship

    This award, based on scholarship, professional promise and financial need is presented to an outstanding graduate student in educational administration or higher education. Preference is given to nominees interested in the financing of education.
  • Dean's Award of Excellence

    Awarded to students who demonstrate strong academic performance; commitment to their program, department, and the College of Education; and a commitment to civic engagement.

    Awarded to teacher education students and established by Murl J. Grandia in memory of his sister, Thelma R. Grandia (BA ’57).
  • Mary Agnella Gunn Memorial Scholarship

    Awarded to undergraduate or graduate students and established by the trust of Dr. Marion Anderson (BA '24/MA '26/PhD '34) in memory of her long-time friend, Dr. Gunn (BA '23/MA '27/PhD '33).
  • John H. Haefner Memorial Scholarship

    Awarded to social studies education students. Established in the memory of Dr. Haefner (BA '23 / MA '39 / PhD '42).
  • Gladys and Margaret Harvey Education Scholarship

    Awarded to undergraduate or graduate students and established through gifts made by Margaret K. Harvey in memory of her sister Gladys Harvey (BA '25).

    Awarded to undergraduate or graduate students who are U.S. citizens and established by gifts from Dr. Holmes (PhD '61).
  • Albert Hood Promising Scholar Award

    Awarded to a graduate student in the Department of Rehabilitation and Counselor Education and to a graduate student in Higher Education and Student Affairs and established by Jean M. Hood on the occasion of the retirement of her husband , Dr. Hood.
  • Howard R. Jones Achievement Award

    Awarded to undergraduate or graduate students and established through gifts from colleagues and friends at the time of Dr. Jones's retirement.

    Awarded to graduate students in educational administration and established by Don (BSC '24) and Dorothy Guthrie (BA '24/MA '26) in honor of Perry Eugene McClenahan (BPH 1905/MA 1906).
  • Sheila E. McFarland Memorial Scholarship

    Awarded to undergraduate students from Iowa in the area of elementary education and established by Joseph (BA '52) and Rosalie (BA '52) McFarland in memory of their daughter, Sheila Eileen McFarland (BA '73).

  • Melvin R. Novick Award in Educational Measurement and Statistics

    Awarded to doctoral students in the field of educational measurement and research and established by the College of Education and Naomi Novick in memory of Professor Novick.
  • Paul Opstad Scholarship

  • Lorraine Gutz Ragan Scholarship

    Awarded to undergraduate or graduate students from Iowa who are enrolled in the teacher education program and established Rex B. Ragan in honor of his sister-in-law, Lorraine Gutz Ragan (BA '55).
  • Ann Ramsey and Richard E. Posey Scholarship

    Awarded to a junior student pursuing a career in teaching or education. Established by Ann Ramsey Posey (BA '69).
  • Rolland Ray Award

    Awarded to doctoral students completing dissertations concerned with measurement in mathematics education, science education, social studies education or English education.
