Scholarships and Awards

Through the generosity of alumni, donors and friends of the College of Education we are able to provide scholarships for students. The most recent application deadline was December 1, 2015. The next application period will be in the fall of 2016.

The 2016 College of Education Scholarship Luncheon will be held at the University Athletic Club, 1360 Melrose Avenue, Iowa City, on April 22, from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Recipients may RSVP online.

By supporting scholarships, you assist talented students who show the promise of educational leadership.Scholarships serve an essential purpose, providing beginning professionals with an opportunity to focus on their studies and to be well prepared for the years of service they will provide. Simply put, the gift of scholarships from friends and alumni help students realize their aspirations to the fullest.

    Why We Give: As a Way to Say Thank You

    “The decision of gifting is such an individual one, which for us evolved over several years,” says Ann Posey (BA’69), who taught elementary students in Iowa and Michigan public schools before taking a break to raise a family.
