College of Education Mission and Strategic Plan Mission The mission of the College of Education is to develop reflective professionals and scholars informed by theory, research, and best practice. This mission is based on a strong belief in the value and critical importance of education in an open, democratic, and diverse society. The College recognizes that significant forces are reshaping our nation’s schools and society. In response, we prepare and graduate professionals to meet, evaluate, and provide effective and creative leadership in response to these challenging times. Strategic Plan The College is currently working on a new Strategic Plan. Dean Crocco introduces the process in the following video. Sharing Information Strategic Planning documents will be shared on a dedicated Groupshare site at: https://groupshare.uiowa.edu/education/planning. Log in by entering your HawkID in the User name box, followed by your password. (If you are off campus, you may need to type Iowa\ before your HawkID.) The purpose of the website is to provide information about the strategic planning process to College of Education faculty, staff, and students. These documents have been created through a highly collaborative process that has involved all segments of the College of Education community.
