The Classification System

Books

Children's and Young Adult books can be located by looking in the UI Curriculum lab database in InfoHawk, the online catalog:

E = Easy (Picture Books)
F = Fiction
Dewey Decimal Number = Information, Folklore, Poetry, Biography

Non-Print Materials

Audio-visual materials (videos, CD ROMs, pictures, manipulatives, etc.) can be located in the UI Curriculum lab database in infoHawk. The subject subheading "AV" indicates non-print materials. The call number will be a Dewey Decimal Number, and the Location will be given as "Non-Print."

Curriculum Materials

Most curriculum guides and textbooks can be located in infoHawk.
