Portfolio Questions and Answers

Can I complete the portfolio requirement on someone who isn’t a client (ask a friend to sit for testing)?  
No, you must test an actual client.

Can testing that I do for my assistantship count for the portfolio requirement? The tests were given prior to taking the assessment courses.  
The testing must occur during or after your completion of both assessment requirements.  This requirement is specific to the assessment battery.  We want you to have completed most or all of your assessment course requirements before doing the battery for the portfolio.
 

Can the presentation of my undergraduate honors thesis work at a national conference count toward the portfolio?  
No, the research must have been conducted during your graduate training.

 
Can we use previous experiences on multidisciplinary teams to meet goal 10(B)?  
No, the experiences must be during your graduate training.

 
Goal 3 (D) refers to a “paper reflecting on a theme associated with the specialty of counseling psychology.”  Is this paper completed in Intro to CP I?  
Yes.

 
Goal 2(D) makes reference to a “scholarly paper”.  Is this the same paper referred to in Goal 11?  
Yes.
