Collegiate Teaching Award

It's time to nominate a terrific teacher for the Collegiate Teaching Award!

MEMORANDUM

To:     College of Education Faculty, Staff and Students
From:  Sandra Bowman Damico, Dean
Date:  February 15, 2008

We are seeking your assistance to nominate tenured, tenure-track or clinical faculty from the College of Education for the Collegiate Teaching Award. From the nominations provided by students and faculty, the collegiate committee will select one recipient of the award.

Below you will find nomination guidelines and a link to the release of information form to be signed by the nominee.

Please call this award to everyone’s attention and encourage worthy nominations. We feel the award is important in that it is an attempt to encourage superior teaching and recognition by one’s colleagues and students.

We wish to highlight the following:

  1. The award is based on the 2004-2007 academic years.  Nominees need to have begun teaching in the College of Education no later than Fall 2004.
  2. Collegiate Teaching Award recipients from the last ten years are not eligible for this year’s award.
  3. Material for each nominee may not exceed twelve pages total, including the letters from students. Five sets of nomination materials are to be submitted.
  4. The deadline for receipt of completed nominations in the Dean’s Office, N459 Lindquist Center, is Friday, April 4, 2008.
Please submit them to Judy Brewer.

We ask that the nominator take responsibility for coordinating collection of the supporting material and making certain the deadline is met.
