Career Development Awards

Career Development Awards (formerly known as Semester Assignments) are a competitive University award available to tenured faculty members after completing a specified length of service.  The award provides a paid leave period (generally one semester) during which the faculty member is expected to produce one or more products for dissemination including but not limited to publication, exhibit, professional performance, or instruction.  It is subject to payback requirements and a report on work accomplished during the leave is due following the schedule below.

The College of Education follows the guidelines and criteria for Career Development Awards as found on the Provost's Faculty Development web site.  Application forms and instructions are available at the site, as well as forms and directions for the post-award report.  Portions of the forms must be completed online before printing.
