Spring Holmes Scholars Reception May 3, 2007
Keynote
College of Education Holmes Alum John R. Jones, III, presented the keynote speech at the Spring 2007 Holmes Scholar Reception. Reading from the poem, "The Bridge Builder" by Will Allen Domgoole, Jones delivered an inspiring and motivational speech. He walked his talk as he met with and mentored the Holmes Scholars in other sessions during his visit. John received his Ph.D. in Higher Education from Iowa in 1997 and was one of our first Holmes Scholars. He has since joined Northern Illinois University as the Associate Vice President.
