Workshop 1: February ITAP Workshop Purpose To offer participants an opportunity to apply concepts and procedures associated with alignment to the their team's local setting. Each team was to bring one of its own assessment tools and corresponding content standards and benchmarks (and/or grade-level indicators) to the workshop. In addition, teams might have also brought alignment evidence collected previously by the district. Time was provided for each team to use the alignment-checking process covered in the ICN sessions and Web Lesson to begin to gather alignment information about their own assessment tools, or to evaluate the sufficiency of previously existing alignment evidence that the district might have collected. The focus was on understanding how to apply the process-not to complete the work during the workshop. An ITAP instructional team was available to provide consultation to district teams as needed.
