Welcome to ITAP

The Iowa Technical Adequacy Project, or ITAP, was a state-wide professional development program for teams of educators in Iowa schools during 2003. The primary purpose of this professional development program was to train teams of educators in Iowa public (and private) school districts to identify, understand, and use criteria that lead to technically adequate data-based information and decisions using their standards-referenced assessment systems. The training program was provided by the Center for Evaluation and Assessment within the College of Education at The University of Iowa, and was funded by the Iowa Department of Education.
