CASMA-ACT Conference on Current Challenges in Educational Testing November 8, 2003 ACT Conference Center, Iowa City, IA At no time during the past 50 years has testing been such a visible part of the educational landscape. Today education faces many important testing and measurement issues. To address some of these issues, ACT and The University of Iowa's Center for Advanced Studies in Measurement and Assessment (CASMA), located in the College of Education, sponsored a one-day conference at ACT's new Conference Center in Iowa City on the subject of "Current Challenges in Educational Testing." Nationally known speakers addressed topics which are listed below. The goal of the conference was to inform not only measurement specialist but also practitioners and those in policy-making positions.
