Interpreting Your Student's Scores
BESTS EXPLORE and BESTS ACT are two presentations by Belin-Blank Center staff on how to use the Belin-Blank Exceptional
Student Talent Search (BESTS) Interpretation Guide.
The Interpretation Guide helps parents and educators understand scores students receive from the
above-level test taken as part of BESTS. There are two presentations given in the spring that
take place on the Iowa
Communications Network (ICN). Iowa students who register for BESTS are contacted in late winter/early
spring about registration. Registration is free. The dates and sites for 2007 are listed below.
The ICN is a state agency
that administers a statewide fiber optics network. The capacity of the Network enables authorized users
such as hospitals, state and federal government, public defense armories, libraries, schools, and higher
education, to communicate via high quality, full-motion video; high-speed Internet connections; and
telephones.
