creativity and inventiveness. Learn to record and communicate the findings of experimental studies. Think about interesting science ideas, using special methods to reveal what may, at first, seem to be mysterious!

Instructors

Peg ChristensenPeggy J. Christensen received her Masters of Science Degree from the University of Iowa. She is a science School Improvement Facilitator for Keystone Area Education Agency (Dubuque, Iowa). She works with science curriculum, instruction, and assessment, and she works with teachers, curriculum coordinators, and principals to develop, review, and assess curriculum. Peggy has taught at College for Kids for Grant Wood AEA (Cedar Rapids) since 1991. During this time she has taught a variety of classes including Invention, Ecology, Physics, Microscopy, Genetics, and Dissection. She also teaches Forensic Science and Genetics in the Weekend Institute for Gifted Education (WINGS) program at the Belin-Blank Center. She taught high school science for many years in the Mid Prairie Community School District (Wellman, Iowa), where she also served as the high school Gifted Education Program Coordinator. Peggy is certified to teach all in science areas.
