Challenges for Elementary School Students (CHESS)

Curriculum

The CHESS program offers classes that are taught at a faster pace than traditional school instruction, and higher order thinking skills are emphasized. Each class is designed to expose students to content that is not typically offered in school. Class sizes are limited to twenty and students may receive homework assignments. No grades are given in the CHESS program classes. We assume that all participants are motivated and academically talented. Students will receive individualized feedback from teachers as part of the experience.
