University Programs Peer Advisors
The University Programs (UP) peer advising program was created to serve first-year UP students in their transition to The University of Iowa. The program provides a connection between first-year UP students and upper-class UP students. Upper-class UP students serve as positive ambassadors of the Belin-Blank Center (B-BC), based on their experience as university students. The peer advisors’ goal is to provide accurate and pertinent information to first-year students, while also referring students to campus resources and B-BC staff when appropriate. The peer advisors do not in any way replace the role of B-BC staff or other student services such as academic advising, career or financial aid counseling.
