Application materials must include:

  1. NAASE application for admission
  2. Student essay and parent/guardian essay
    • Mail essay responses to: NAASE (Belin-Blank Center)
  3. Two teacher/counselor/administrator recommendations
    • Each respondent should mail to NAASE (Belin-Blank Center)
  4. An official transcript of your high school grades and class rank
    • If you’ve taken college courses, ask each college to send transcripts
  5. Your ACT or SAT scores
    • The University of Iowa’s instructional code for ACT is 1356; for SAT it is 6681

Finalists from the applicant pool who meet the qualifications for NAASE will be scheduled for interviews by Belin-Blank Center staff in February. Applicants will learn of their admission status by April 1, and must accept or decline by May 1.

Students who are not accepted into NAASE may still be offered admission to The University of Iowa. In that case, the student may enroll after junior year or defer enrollment in order to finish the senior year of high school. If you wish to be considered for regular admission in the event you are not accepted for NAASE, check the appropriate item on the Application for Admission.
