The Belin-Blank Center conducts comprehensive research on giftedness and disseminates information through publications. A recent publication, “A Nation Deceived: How Schools Hold Back America’s Brightest Students”, summarizes research findings about the benefits of moving bright students ahead in school. The lead authors are Dr. Nicholas Colangelo and Dr. Susan Assouline of the Belin-Blank Center and Dr. Miraca Gross of the University of New South Wales, Australia.
In addition, the Belin-Blank Center has produced a series of reports on gifted education in rural America and the Iowa Acceleration Scale, a tool for use by educators, administrators and parents considering acceleration for students in grades K-8.
