Standards
In order to graduate from a teacher education program at The University of Iowa and be recommended for licensure to teach in the state of Iowa, teacher candidates must demonstrate competence according to eleven standards, derived from the Interstate New Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (INTASC), and aligned with the eight standards used to evaluate teachers in the state.
