Standard 5
Uses a variety of methods to monitor student learning.
Criteria: The Teacher Elementary Counseling Services
a. Aligns classroom assessment with instruction.  
b. Communicates assessment criteria and standards to. all students and parents.  
c. Understands and uses the results of multiple assessments to guide planning and instruction. DRPs and test scores.  
d. Guides students in goal setting and assessing their own learning.

Academic Preventative Services

  • Coordinate transitional activities for students entering the school as new students or moving on to middle school (Standaard #3B, #6C)
e. Provides substantive, timely, and constructive feedback to students and parents.

Personal/Social Consultation

  • Advise parents and staff regarding student behavior, social interaction skills, and emotional well-being (Standard #1G)
f. Works with other staff and building and district leadership in analysis of student progress.

Responsive Services

  • Facilitate Child Study Teams
